One of the most picturesque spots in Mykonos Town is Little Venice or Alefkandra, a historic district with merchant and captain houses dating back to the 18th century.

The famous windmills, the trademark of Mykonos, are among the most photographed attractions on the island. Located southeast of Mykonos Town (Chora), they impress visitors with their commanding presence.

The windmills face the sea, harnessing the power of the northern wind, and were a vital part of the island’s traditional economy. Today, seven of the ten windmills that existed until the 20th century are preserved, captivating travelers from all over the world.

Panagia Paraportiani, one of the most famous churches worldwide, stands proudly in Mykonos Town. This unique architectural complex comprises five churches, with four forming the base of the structure and the fifth crowned with a dome.

The church derives its name from the small gate, the “paraporti,” located in the wall of the medieval castle. This iconic landmark attracts visitors from around the globe and is a top point of interest for photography and history enthusiasts.
